A Bit About Therapy
My approach to therapy
You are the expert in your own life. I approach therapy as a partnership, where we work together to help you identify and achieve the life you want. Sometimes therapy is uncomfortable, but growth can be challenging. I utilize dialectic behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, motivational interviewing and interpersonal relation therapy. After we get to know each other and your goals, we determine together what you think would be the most helpful.
About Me
Tamara Stiles
I graduated with a bachelor’s in Accounting from Northwood University, but quickly found out this was not the field for me. In 2006,  I began working in psychosocial rehab in the mental health field, and fell in love with helping others. In 2012, I went back to school at the University of Michigan for a Master’s in Social Work.  I have focused most of my work on disorders related to difficulty with emotional regulation, such as trauma, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. I live outside of Ann Arbor with my family and 2 dogs. Get in touch with me today to see how I can help you.
